Toss Bank to hire double-digit number of server developer interns

Toss Bank is running a six-month internship programme tied to hiring, seeking a double-digit number of server developers. The company said it will accept applications until Aug. 17 for its Server Developer internship. The programme begins in October and offers a chance of conversion to a full-time position for interns who receive strong evaluations. The hiring process includes document screening and multiple interviews, followed by offer and pay talks.

Woori Financial opens financial town in Jeonbuk Innovation City

Woori Financial Group has opened the Jeonbuk Woori WON Financial Town in Jeonbuk Innovation City, completing the presence of the four major financial groups’ regional hubs there. The complex brings together functions spanning capital markets, corporate finance and inclusive finance, housing units from Woori Asset Management, Woori Bank and other affiliates. Woori plans to supply 1.6 trillion won in funding to local small firms and merchants by 2030.

Nvidia to set up AI joint research institute at KAIST

KAIST and Nvidia will build a $300 million joint research framework to develop agentic AI technology tailored to the Korean language and domestic industrial environments. KAIST said it will establish the Nvidia-KAIST AI Joint Research Institute at the Seoul campus of its Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI to pursue joint research on key next-generation AI technologies. The partners will combine Nvidia’s full-stack AI technology, open models and cloud computing infrastructure with KAIST researchers.
