[Digital Today reporter Ji-young Lee] K Bank has launched recruitment for a job-linked internship that will be evaluated mainly on artificial intelligence capabilities. The bank plans to assign all selected interns practical tasks such as building AI agents and improving work efficiency, and to offer regular employment opportunities to those who receive high evaluations.

K Bank said on Wednesday it is starting recruitment for its "2027 first-half job-linked internship".

The hiring is part of K Bank's strategy to secure "AI native" talent that it has pursued since the first half of this year. It plans to focus its evaluation on AI utilisation and practical problem-solving skills during the selection process and internship operation.

The recruitment covers 2 areas: Biz and Marketing and Tech. Applicants can apply by choosing 1 area.

The process consists of document screening, a mid-stage screening, interviews, a two-month internship, evaluation and conversion to a regular position. Applications are accepted until 5 p.m. on the 26th through K Bank's recruitment website.

Selected interns will be assigned to business departments for 2 months from January next year to carry out practical projects. Under the guidance of their team leader and mentor, all interns will set and carry out tasks tailored to their job functions, including building AI agents, improving work efficiency using AI and planning AI-based services.

During the internship, the bank will also provide one-on-one mentoring with senior colleagues and training to help adaptation to the job, including mandatory finance education and business manners. Interns who receive outstanding results in evaluations will be given an opportunity to join the company as regular employees in March next year.

A K Bank official said, "We hope for strong interest and applications from talented people who can accept AI as a new tool and actively integrate it into their jobs."
