Ecopro brings forward executive reshuffle, promotes Choi Sang-woon and Park Jong-hwan to president
Ecopro brought forward its annual executive reshuffle by two months and carried out promotions and appointments on Sept. 30, the company said on Oct. 1. Choi Sang-woon and Park Jong-hwan were promoted to president and named CEO-designates of Ecopro and Ecopro HN, respectively. Song Ho-jun was named CEO-designate of Ecopro BM. Ecopro said the move aims to strengthen external cooperation, diversify businesses and improve execution of next year’s plans.

KT joins APEX 2026 international cyber exercise to boost real-world defense capabilities
KT said on Sept. 29 it joined the National Intelligence Service-led international cyber exercise APEX (Allied Power Exercise) 2026 to strengthen real-world cyber defense capabilities. The drill ran from Sept. 16 to 18 with participants from 23 countries across the Americas, Europe and the Indo-Pacific. KT’s red team carried out real-time incident response, digital forensics and system security tasks in a joint team.

Selectstar said on Sept. 28 that five papers involving its researchers on AI reliability and safety were accepted at EMNLP 2026. They include 1 main conference paper, 1 paper in the official findings proceedings and 3 workshop papers. EMNLP 2026 will be held in Budapest, Hungary, from Oct. 24 to 29. The studies cover evaluation methods, guard model reliability, financial guardrails and phishing detection, and AI safety across cultures.
