Hitachi Vantara\'s U.S. Norman manufacturing site named WEF Lighthouse factory

HS Hyosung Information Systems said Hitachi Vantara\'s storage manufacturing facility in Norman, Oklahoma, has been selected as a World Economic Forum Lighthouse factory. Lighthouse factories are manufacturing sites that deliver innovative results in productivity, supply chain resilience and sustainability using technologies such as AI and robotics. HS Hyosung said the site runs an end-to-end digital manufacturing and supply chain hub and cut lead time by 77 percent and inventory by 50 percent by applying agentic AI.

Nvidia has forged a cooperation framework in Japan spanning national AI infrastructure, robotics and automobiles, linking the government and key manufacturers. CEO Jensen Huang visited Tokyo to confirm multiple projects connected to Japan’s physical AI strategy, including support for the state-backed AI developer Noetra. Nvidia plans to build a Vera Rubin AI Factory by 2028. Hitachi Vantara named leader and fast mover in GigaOm unstructured data management report

HS Hyosung Information System said on Sunday that market research firm GigaOm named Hitachi Vantara a leader and a fast mover in its 2026 GigaOm Unstructured Data Management Radar report. It said the integrated data platform VSP One was highly rated for unified data management, policy automation, and operational visibility and efficiency. The report cited strengths including stronger unstructured data governance, enterprise workflow integration, and expansion of an integrated data fabric.
