HS Hyosung Information Systems, an AI and data infrastructure solutions company, said Hitachi Storage ranked first in South Korea's high-end storage market in 2025 by revenue, citing IDC's quarterly external storage systems market survey. It said Hitachi Storage took a 39.6 percent share by revenue.
HS Hyosung Information Systems, which handles Hitachi Vantara's business in South Korea, stressed that the result reflects recognition of Hitachi Storage as infrastructure that protects core corporate data reliably and supports operational continuity beyond high-performance storage, as the importance of corporate data grows with the spread of AI.
The company said, "Recently, companies are facing situations where they must respond not only to increases in AI training and analysis data, but also to various threats such as natural disasters, power outages, system failures and ransomware." It added, "Based on 100 percent data availability and industry 50,000,000 IOPS performance, Hitachi Storage supports stable operations even in large-scale AI and data environments."
Yang Jeong-gyu (양정규), chief executive of HS Hyosung Information Systems, said, "In the AI era, infrastructure capabilities that can protect data safely and recover even in failure situations are becoming more important. Going forward, HS Hyosung Information Systems will actively support customers' data resilience and AI transformation based on next-generation storage technology and a proven service system."
