AI and data infrastructure solutions company HS Hyosung Information Systems said on June 9 that its partner Hitachi Vantara published the FY2025 Sustainability Report.

The report focuses on introducing results from infrastructure innovation centered on the next-generation storage platform VSP One.

Key topics include improving energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, expanding lifecycle-based sustainability initiatives and strengthening governance to respond to AI and data-intensive workloads.

Hitachi Vantara expanded investment in technological innovation to raise infrastructure efficiency and reduce environmental impact, lifecycle-based sustainability management and governance in fiscal 2025 to respond to growth in AI and data.

Belgian environmental company Aquiris, Turkey's DestekBank and Indian media group Malayala Manorama achieved results such as energy savings, improved operational efficiency and infrastructure optimisation through adoption of Hitachi Vantara solutions, the company said. DestekBank reduced data centre energy consumption by 25 percent, it added. Malayala Manorama achieved a 66 percent cut in rack space and a 70 percent reduction in power and cooling costs, it said.

Yang Jeong-gyu (양정규), CEO of HS Hyosung Information Systems, said power efficiency and sustainability of data infrastructure have emerged as key factors determining corporate competitiveness as AI spreads. HS Hyosung Information Systems will support customers so they can realise both high-performance AI environments and ESG management based on Hitachi Vantara's next-generation storage and data infrastructure technology, he said.
