MSIT opens bid for regional information security cluster, 10 billion won over 5 years

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency said on March 25 they will accept applications until April 27 for a project to build a regional information security cluster. The bid covers two super-regions: Daegu-Gyeongbuk and Jeolla-Jeju, excluding the existing Southeast and Chungcheong regions. One consortium will be selected and receive 2 billion won a year for five years, totaling 10 billion won in state funds, with 100 percent local matching.
