Agent banking is coming; Webcash says bank competition to intensify next year
B2B fintech firm Webcash is moving to secure solutions for the emerging era of AI agent banking, which it sees as a core axis of next-generation financial competition. At a conference in Seoul, it unveiled the architecture and use cases of OPERIA, an engine that connects general-purpose AI with banks’ relational databases. Webcash said internal tests showed 99 percent accuracy in its cash management solution and introduced a V2 cash management agent expanding coverage to about 800 customers.

Weeklay founder Yoon Joo-hyun (윤주현) said his company is betting on local AI to deliver personalisation that cloud-based general-purpose AI lacks. Weeklay’s local AI agent platform, Aulo, runs entirely on a PC without connecting to cloud servers, keeping personal data on-device. Users download Aulo and train it on their own data, then can share trained agents through an outlet feature while keeping underlying training data hidden.

Apple’s iOS 26.4 allows users to run a dedicated ChatGPT app on CarPlay and hold voice conversations, with past chats shown on screen. The feature is designed to minimize visual interaction while driving, so it does not support text input or reading long answers. Users must open the app manually each time, and it cannot control an iPhone or vehicle settings like Siri. Reviews say it feels more like a standalone chat app than a voice assistant.
