Megazone, the parent company of AI and cloud firm MegazoneCloud, agreed to cooperate to strengthen Hanmi Science’s overall digital innovation capabilities, it said on Sunday.
Under the agreement, the two sides plan to jointly pursue AX-based work innovation task discovery, cooperation to strengthen digital transformation capabilities and other AI and digital innovation initiatives.
They plan to jointly design practical AI services that can solve real on-site problems and have both usability and business viability, reflecting work characteristics in pharmaceuticals and healthcare that are difficult to address with general-purpose AI technology alone.
After signing the agreement, the two sides plan to form a working-level consultative body to identify specific cooperation tasks and review implementation plans. They also plan to gradually expand and advance the scope of cooperation.
Hanmi Science has recently been actively working to lay the groundwork for AX, including spreading a culture of AI use and identifying work innovation cases across all affiliates, including Hanmi Pharmaceutical.
Megazone CEO Jang Ji-hwang (장지황) said, "To deliver tangible business results with AI, deep understanding of the relevant industry and work must be combined with technology." He said, "By adding Megazone’s experience and capabilities in cloud and AI-based work innovation to Hanmi Science’s expertise in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, we will develop business models that can create new value."
