Fintech company Habit Factory is joining SK Telecom's 'Everyone's AI' consortium to develop a mydata-based financial AI service.

Habit Factory said on Wednesday it will participate as a partner in the finance and payments sector after the SKT consortium was selected as a project operator for Everyone's AI, promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.

Everyone's AI is a project linking domestic AI models with services used in daily life. Habit Factory, Shinhan Card and Hana Card are participating in the finance and payments sector.

Habit Factory is responsible for implementing an asset management and retirement planning service combining mydata and AI agents. It will analyse customers' asset status and retirement preparedness by adding retirement pension and personal pension data to banking, card, securities and insurance information.

Habit Factory aims to implement an AI agent that goes beyond providing information from general-purpose AI by analysing personal financial data to support tailored decision-making. It plans to combine its capabilities in using mydata and in regulation and security with SKT's AI technology.

The SKT consortium plans to build the service using domestic AI models, including its proprietary AI foundation model 'A.X K2'. It plans an October beta service before an official launch within the year.

Jung Yoon-ho (정윤호), co-chief executive of Habit Factory, said, "We will propose approaches based on objective grounds to questions about assets that general-purpose models struggle to answer properly." He added, "The goal is to create an environment where individuals can make better financial decisions while protecting their information."
