Dell Technologies said on Sept. 22 it will supply Korea Venture Investment, a public agency under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, with its high-performance GPU server, the Dell PowerEdge XE7745. It will support on-premises enterprise AI transformation (AX).

The company said the project is a "GPU server purchase and enterprise agent AI rollout project to build AI infrastructure." It focuses on applying agent AI to actual work to improve productivity and modernise systems.

Korea Venture Investment operates the Fund of Funds and supports investment and fundraising for promising domestic startups and venture capital firms. It has built on-premises AI infrastructure at its office so AI models can be operated stably on an internal network while meeting security and network-separation requirements.

The Dell PowerEdge XE7745 server used in the project is a 4U, air-cooled GPU server that provides high-performance computing for processing large AI models and linking with agent AI. It will be used as Korea Venture Investment's general-purpose AI infrastructure.

Based on the AI infrastructure, Korea Venture Investment plans to pursue a proof of concept (PoC) for legacy system analysis and knowledge asset creation. Maintenance partners Naedam C&C and Bon Information will support technical integration. It will in particular trial an AI agent specialised in source code analysis in the Venture Investment Comprehensive Information System (VICS). It plans to verify system operating efficiency in stages, including by using a reverse-extraction method that automatically pulls key information from complex legacy logic and turns it into standardised outputs.

A Korea Venture Investment official said the adoption of Dell's AI infrastructure solution meets the organisation's security and network-separation requirements while supporting large-scale deep-learning model training. The official said it plans to expand infrastructure so it can roll out a range of next-generation AX services through cooperation with Dell and Dell partners, including Bon Information.

Sang-mo Yoo (유상모), president of Dell Technologies Korea, said the project is an exemplary initiative that aims to use high-performance AI and agent AI stably in a strict network-separation environment, and to pursue enterprise-wide work automation and system modernisation. He said using Dell PowerEdge servers has enabled the organisation to accelerate knowledge asset creation, including by analysing legacy source code with agent AI and automatically generating outputs. Yoo said Dell will continue to provide support with partners so Korea Venture Investment can stably scale up pilot operations and respond to mid- to long-term AX demand.
