South Korea\'s three mobile carriers are starting preorders for Samsung Electronics\' new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8, and are competing to attract customers with promotions. SK Telecom is running joint marketing with Netflix and offering membership perks and trade-in rewards. KT is promoting storage upgrades, online discounts and bundled plans. Apple\'s first foldable \'iPhone Ultra\' may be coming; six key points
Apple may unveil its first foldable iPhone this autumn under the name iPhone Ultra, with changes spanning design, hardware and software, a report said. The device is expected to use a book-style fold with a wider outer display and an inner screen closer to an iPad mini. It may minimise screen creases, drop a telephoto camera, add iOS 27 foldable features, use an A20 Pro chip and adopt Touch ID.

Samsung Electronics begins preorders for Galaxy Z8 and Watch Ultra2, Watch9
Samsung Electronics will begin preorders for its eighth-generation foldable smartphones and new smartwatches. The company said preorders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 will run from July 28 to Aug. 3 at Samsung stores, Samsung.com and mobile carrier outlets. Official domestic release is Aug. 7, with early buyers able to receive and activate devices from Aug. 4.
