Oura to enter South Korea with fifth-generation smart ring

Finnish smart ring maker Oura has officially entered the South Korean market with the Oura Ring 5, which it says is 40 percent smaller than its previous model. The company says it boosted LED output fourfold and expanded signal paths to maintain measurement quality, and offers more than 50 health metrics through its app. Oura plans to combine hardware sales with a monthly membership fee, with new features provided to subscribers.

Fintech firm Finger acquires Michelo Robotics, enters physical AI market

South Korean fintech company Finger said on Thursday it has acquired industrial robot intelligence company Michelo Robotics and will enter the physical AI business. Finger signed a deal to buy Michelo Robotics for 16 billion won by purchasing 500,000 existing shares held by CEO Jang Jun (박장준) and others. Michelo Robotics develops technologies that automate surface-treatment processes and provides a no-code platform integrating control of different robot hardware.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra gains attention with thinner design and reduced crease

Samsung Electronics’ next foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, is drawing market attention with a thinner body and a reduced display crease. TechRadar said the biggest changes are inside, including a new hinge and titanium panel structure designed to make the screen flatter when unfolded. The phone keeps five cameras, upgrading the ultra-wide lens to 50 megapixels. It adds AI features and supports up to four apps at once on the main screen.
