New broadcasting media communications commission still without signboard ahead of 1st anniversary

South Korea’s Broadcasting Media and Communications Commission has yet to hang its signboard as it nears its first anniversary, as its legally required seven-member lineup remains incomplete. The People Power Party’s recommended standing commissioner seat has been vacant for more than six months after parliament rejected a nominee in February. The commission has named its first vice chair, but it has not set a date for a signboard ceremony, with officials citing the unresolved appointment.
