The schedule for a comprehensive share swap to make Dunamu a wholly owned unit of Naver Financial has been delayed again.

Dunamu on Tuesday disclosed that it changed the share swap date with Naver Financial, a Naver subsidiary, to March 31 next year.

The planned date for a shareholder meeting for the share swap was also adjusted to Feb. 26 next year from Nov. 19.

The schedule change is due to reviews by relevant authorities and related procedures that are under way to close the deal.

Naver Financial in November last year announced a plan to bring Dunamu in as a 100 percent subsidiary through a comprehensive share swap.

Once the share swap is completed, stakes held by Dunamu shareholders will be exchanged for Naver Financial shares and Dunamu will become a wholly owned unit of Naver Financial.

At the time, Naver Financial presented a plan to secure future growth engines based on digital assets through a combination with Dunamu.

As the share swap schedule has been pushed back again, the actual timing of the deal closing is expected to be decided depending on progress in the authorities' review and follow-up procedures.

A Dunamu official said the two companies are cooperating with the relevant authorities' review and related procedures and will faithfully proceed with the reviews and other procedures required to close the deal.
