Dell expands cyber resilience portfolio, targets AI security

Dell Technologies has expanded its PowerProtect cyber resilience portfolio to cover identity systems, AI environments and quantum-resistant storage. The company introduced PowerProtect software to restore compromised ID platforms and said it supports Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID and Okta, including access settings. It also rolled out an ID threat detection and response service and two security services for AI environments. Dell updated its AI assistant in PowerProtect Data Manager and added storage features for PowerScale and PowerStore.

Naver signs $9 billion AI infrastructure deal with Brookfield, meets Nvidia investment condition

Naver signed a contract with alternative investment firm Brookfield to secure up to $9 billion of AI computing infrastructure. The deal meets a prerequisite for Nvidia’s planned $1 billion strategic equity investment in Naver, enabling the payment process to proceed. Brookfield plans to form a special purpose vehicle, Asset Co., to invest in GPUs and data centres. Naver Cloud will operate services using resources supplied by the vehicle. Naver plans to start 55 MW operations in early 2027 and expand to 200 MW by 2028.

KT unveils Token Factory with automatic AI model selection and unified billing

KT will launch its AI platform, KT Token Factory, which lets companies choose among multiple AI models while managing usage and costs in one place. The platform integrates model selection, cost control and security features, KT said at a media briefing in Seoul. It will start with 73 models on Oct. 30 and expand to more than 500 by year-end. KT said its optimisation tools can cut token costs by up to 25 percent.
