IITP to boost full-stack linking AI semiconductors and physical AI to respond to AX 2.0

South Korea\'s Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) is strengthening full-stack competitiveness by linking AI semiconductors, physical AI and next-generation networks, it said. It aims to respond to the spread of agentic AI and physical AI in industrial sites in the AX 2.0 era. IITP outlined R&D and talent development plans, including support for AI semiconductor firms, 6G and satellite communications, cybersecurity initiatives, defence AX programmes and expanded AI training.

MegazoneCloud shares JTBC Golden Disc Awards cloud live-streaming case on tech blog

MegazoneCloud said on Thursday it has shared on its tech blog the process of successfully delivering a multi-site live broadcast over a cloud-based system linking South Korea, Taiwan and Japan. The company said it live-streamed JTBC’s 40th Golden Disc Awards for 6 hours from Taipei Dome in January via a cloud international backbone network. It said AWS regions and backbone carried most of the 2,000-km path, with dedicated lines used only on limited sections.

Synology unveils new products from NAS to AI agents at Computex 2026

Synology took part in Computex 2026 in Taipei from June 2 to 5, rolling out new products spanning data storage, protection and AI solutions. It showcased XS+/XS and FS enterprise storage, the PAS7700 active-active all-flash NVMe system and the GS3400 scalable object and file storage. Synology also introduced Synology Tiering and new data reduction features, and unveiled AI solutions including a DSM Agent. It added platform support in data protection and expanded its cameras and home lineup.
