KakaoPay Securities said on Thursday it signed an official partnership agreement with the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC).

Under the deal, KakaoPay Securities will secure domestic online and offline marketing rights using the WBC tournament’s logo and brand assets.

It will also participate as an official partner of South Korea’s national baseball team and gain sponsorship rights for a patch on the national team’s uniforms.

To mark the partnership, it will also hold a user event.

KakaoPay Securities prepared a "Super Pass" event offering users the chance to watch South Korea’s WBC games in person.

The entry period runs through Feb. 24, and it will provide tickets to watch all of South Korea’s games to selected users who meet the conditions through a draw.

South Korea’s group-stage games will be held at the Tokyo Dome in Japan from March 5 to 9. In particular, a South Korea-Japan matchup is scheduled for March 7, drawing strong interest from baseball fans.

A KakaoPay Securities official said, "We expect to naturally promote our brand on a global sports stage like the WBC and deliver a more approachable financial experience through baseball content that spans generations and regions."
