SKT steps up push into B2B market with new enterprise taskforce

SK Telecom CEO Jeong Jae-heon (정재헌) marked six months in the role with a town hall meeting, stressing the importance of customer-focused change. The company said he encouraged employees tackling an enterprise-wide crisis response and shared results to date. SKT is launching a CEO-direct enterprise taskforce to strengthen wired and wireless B2B competitiveness and pursue opportunities in public and defence AI B2B. It also plans to expand its AI data centre business and overhaul its job-level system.

Integrated X-Range C15 powertrain system converts EVs to hybrids

Horse Powertrain, a joint venture between Renault and Geely Automobile, unveiled an integrated powertrain system that can convert EVs into hybrids, plug-in hybrids and extended-range EVs while keeping an EV-only platform. InsideEVs reported the company introduced the X-Range C15 Direct Drive, designed to replace a rear electric motor and reduce structural changes and investment. The unit integrates a gasoline engine, transmission and two motors, supports all-wheel drive and can add power electronics options.

SKT to share full-stack AI vision at World IT Show

SK Telecom said on April 21 it will take part in the 2026 World IT Show in Seoul for three days from April 22, presenting a blueprint for the future of artificial intelligence in South Korea. Under the theme “Everything about AI,” it will run a large exhibition hall covering a full-stack AI line-up from infrastructure and models to services. The hall will feature five zones, including network AI, AI data centre solutions, AI models, agent AI and physical AI.
