Reddit shares plunge 30 percent on weak fourth-quarter forecast
Reddit shares fell 30 percent on Oct. 30, heading for their worst day since the company listed in 2024, after it issued a weaker-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue outlook, CNBC reported. Reddit forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $1.0 billion to $1.03 billion, below analysts’ estimate of $1.05 billion. It also said Google AI Overviews changed search traffic patterns, reducing search referrals from Google.

KAIST to hold failure conference to share setbacks and anticipate AI-era risks
Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) will hold the fourth KAIST Failure Conference from Nov. 4 to 13 under the theme \"Future and Failure.\" The programme includes a \"failed projects\" showcase, a seminar on ongoing failures and questions from the future, and an exhibition of imagined 2036 AI failure cases. KAIST will also release a book and a report analysing 429 citizen-submitted AI failure scenarios.

ESTsoft expands Perso Interactive AI avatar in public sector
ESTsoft said on Oct. 26 it is expanding supply of its real-time interactive AI avatar service, Perso Interactive, in the public sector. It is moving beyond AI kiosks to build customized services that link institutional websites, public data and internal work systems. The company has deployed civil-complaint and guidance services at offices including Gangseo-gu and Nonsan City, and is discussing adoption with Seocho-gu. It is also expanding use in education, libraries and cultural facilities.
