Mercedes-Benz fined 11.24 billion won by Korea FTC over missing battery maker disclosure
South Korea\'s Fair Trade Commission fined Mercedes-Benz\'s German headquarters and Mercedes-Benz Korea 11.24 billion won and filed a complaint with prosecutors over sales that omitted battery cell maker information. The watchdog said guidelines for EQE and EQS models did not reflect the actual supplier and instead described the cars as using CATL cells. It said about 3,000 cars with Farasis cells were sold, generating about 281.0 billion won in revenue.

South Korea hosts international standards meeting on future vehicle EMC in Seoul
South Korea\'s National Radio Research Agency and the Telecommunications Technology Association will co-host an international meeting in Seoul from March 4 to 12 on electromagnetic compatibility for future vehicles. About 70 experts from 12 countries will focus on standardising evaluation methods for electric and autonomous vehicles. Discussions will cover reverberation chamber standards, sensor-focused immunity evaluation, virtual simulation and EMI limits. South Korea submitted 5 papers to reflect its technologies in international standards.

Ham Young-joo says banks face crisis and this cannot continue
Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo said banks face a crisis and need fundamental change as money moves accelerate. He said household lending has reached its growth limit and that deeper insight is needed in corporate lending and investment. Ham called for stronger wealth management, a shift to specialised organisations for productive finance, and upgrades to screening, risk management and processes in investment banking and corporate finance. He also urged tougher consumer protection, steps to prevent mis-selling and proactive responses to voice phishing, along with stronger internal controls.
