Hana Bank is expanding financial support for small merchants with mid-to-low credit in Incheon.

Hana Bank said on Aug. 27 it will make an additional 500 million won special contribution to the Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation and strengthen inclusive finance support for small business owners in the Incheon area.

The additional contribution will be made by expanding the "Grow Together" financial support programme, to which Hana Bank contributed 1.5 billion won in March.

Support targets will also be expanded from companies involved in youth start-ups, job creation and commercial district revitalisation to include small merchants with mid-to-low credit.

With the additional special contribution, Hana Bank's contributions to the Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation this year will increase to 6 billion won from 5.5 billion won. The supply of agreed guarantees through the foundation will also rise by 7.5 billion won to 91.5 billion won from 84 billion won.

Seo Yoo-seok (서유석), head of Hana Bank's corporate group, said, "With the relocation to Cheongna in Incheon approaching, we will continue to 추진 지역 맞춤형 포용금융 for small merchants in the Incheon area."
