Hana Financial Group opened the doors of its Cheongna headquarters and officially declared the completion of Hana Financial Town, a project it has pursued for 15 years. Hana Financial plans to make Cheongna the group’s new hub and speed up collaboration among affiliates, artificial intelligence transition (AX) and future financial innovation.

Hana Financial held an opening event for the Cheongna headquarters on Thursday in Cheongna International City in Incheon under the theme “One sincere heart, a future we open together.”

Before the main event, a “key ceremony” was held at the Global Field in front of the Cheongna headquarters. It was meant to mark the completion of the 15-year project to build Hana Financial Town and the start of the group’s new 100 years in Cheongna.

The main event introduced how work methods, organisational culture and workspaces will change around the Cheongna headquarters.

The Cheongna headquarters will bring together the group’s core infrastructure in finance and IT, digital and talent development. Hana Financial plans to use this to strengthen business links among affiliates and push ahead with AX and future financial innovation.

In a congratulatory address, Incheon Mayor Chan-dae Park (박찬대) said, “It feels new to see the 15-year effort to attract investment bear fruit in the completion of Hana Financial Town.” He said, “We will look for a path together so that an industry where finance, data and AI meet can grow in Cheongna.”

Young-joo Ham (함영주), chairman of Hana Financial, said, “The opening of the Cheongna headquarters is the fruit of the long journey of Hana Financial Town and the starting point of a major transformation.” He said, “Through bold challenges and ceaseless innovation, we will open Hana Financial’s new 100 years.”

He added, “We will closely link finance to Incheon’s livelihoods, future industries and investment policies, and work together as a regional finance partner that supports the growth of the local economy.”
