Woori Bank to step up voice phishing detection with LG Uplus by linking finance and telecom data

Woori Bank will strengthen its voice phishing detection system by linking financial transaction information with telecommunications data in cooperation with LG Uplus. The bank said on Oct. 6 it will expand joint responses to detect suspected signs of financial fraud more quickly. The two companies completed real-time linkage between Woori Bank’s fraud prevention system and LG Uplus’ AI service ixi-O detection information.

Hana Bank to provide 68.75 billion won in guaranteed loans to Seoul alley businesses with Naver Pay, Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation

Hana Bank will supply a total of 68.75 billion won in guaranteed loans to small merchants and small and medium-sized firms in Seoul, working with Naver Pay, Naver and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation. Under the agreement, Hana Bank will contribute 5.0 billion won and Naver and Naver Pay 500 million won to the foundation, which will provide credit guarantees. Hana Bank will extend loans based on the guarantees.

KB Kookmin Bank is partnering with Naver Pay, Korea Information & Communications and EZShop to expand support for small merchants\' digital transformation and financial services. The companies signed a business agreement at the KB Kookmin Bank building in Yeouido, Seoul. The partnership centres on linking payments, business management and banking services through the offline integrated terminal, Npay Connect, and developing tailored financial services using payment and business data.
