Com2uS, Sungkyunkwan University recruit first cohort for AI Campus training programme

Com2uS will jointly run a practical training programme with Sungkyunkwan University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation to foster AI-based game client development specialists. The company said it will recruit the first cohort for the programme, called AI Campus, through July 10. The 24-week offline course runs from July 21 to Jan. 18 at the university’s Pangyo campus. Training is fully state-funded and includes monthly stipends of up to 400,000 won.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to visit Naver\'s 1784 during South Korea trip, June 8 likely

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (황젠슨) is expected to visit Naver’s second headquarters, 1784, during his trip to South Korea this week, an industry source said. The companies are coordinating the visit, with June 8 seen as the most likely date. Huang is also expected to meet separately with Naver board chairman Lee Hae-jin (이해진) on June 5 to discuss broad cooperation on AI infrastructure, sovereign AI and physical AI.

Kakao CEO Jeong Shina apologises for uncertainty as strike threatened, presses ahead with restructuring

Kakao CEO Jeong Shina apologised to employees for failing to quickly resolve concerns and uncertainty after wage talks with its union ended without a final agreement. The union has secured the legal right to strike and has warned it will begin a strike in June. Jeong also set out a plan to restructure the product organisation, splitting it into KakaoTalk and business units and integrating design functions. A user-first task force will be created within KakaoTalk.
