[Digital Today reporter Ji-young Lee] Hana Bank opened its first regional senior-focused channel in Daegu and is expanding related services nationwide. It plans to establish a total of 11 lounges in major regions across the country, including Seoul, by year-end.

Hana Bank said on July 28 it opened 'Hana The Next Daegu Jungang Lounge', a senior-tailored specialist channel, on July 24 in Namsan-dong, Daegu.

The lounge is Hana Bank's first regional hub for its senior-focused channel, which it has operated mainly in the Seoul metropolitan area.

Hana The Next Daegu Jungang Lounge provides financial services including wealth management, retirement planning, inheritance and gifting, living trust and tax consulting. It also plans to run non-financial programmes related to later-life living, including health management, culture and arts, and senior housing.

It will also offer seminars and community programmes linked to local cultural and welfare institutions.

The lounge will include a 'Dementia Safe Finance Center' that provides financial consulting and financial fraud prevention services for dementia patients and their families. It also plans to offer dementia prevention education and guidance on financial response methods through a 'Dementia Overcoming Academy.'

Hana Bank plans to open lounges sequentially in major hubs nationwide, including Daejeon, Ilsan, Incheon, Gwangju, Bundang and Busan, following the Daegu Jungang lounge. The number of lounges nationwide will increase to 11 by year-end.

Kim Jin-woo (김진우), a vice president at Hana Bank's Wealth Management Group, said the bank plans to expand Hana The Next Lounge for senior customers across the country, starting with Daegu. He said it will strengthen services that support senior customers' wealth management and later-life living.
