BMC Commission to hold forum on follow-up steps to Broadcasting Three Laws
The Broadcasting Media Communications Commission said on April 22 it will hold a forum on April 23 at the Korea Broadcasting Hall in Mok-dong, Seoul, to discuss effective implementation of follow-up measures to the “Broadcasting Three Laws.” The forum will focus on designing systems, refining detailed standards for on-site application and setting up an implementation framework. It will be moderated by a professor at Sungkonghoe University, with a presentation by an acting director at the commission and a panel of academics and media representatives.

Korea commission approves 75 operators to generate and process CI, including Naver
South Korea\'s Broadcasting Media Communications Commission said on April 20 it approved 75 operators as suitable to generate and process Connecting Information (CI) after reviewing whether their procedures and safeguards met requirements. Approved operators include identity verification agencies such as NICE Information Service and Naver, as well as mobile electronic notification and financial MyData businesses. The review examined procedure adequacy, security plans and user rights protection. The commission said it will continue to supervise approved operators.

Korea broadcast media communications commission appoints 141 instructors for telecom and AI training
South Korea\'s Broadcasting Media Communications Commission and the Korea Association of ICT Promotion (KAIT) said they appointed 141 professional instructors at a launch event in Seoul. The nationwide programme, starting in April, targets digitally vulnerable groups including older people, people with disabilities and multicultural families. It covers telecom service use, fraud prevention, AI service use and prevention, and smart device use. It also includes updated anti-scam training with police cooperation.
