The Broadcasting Media Communications Commission said on Thursday it selected two small and medium-sized companies to receive support for TV broadcast advertising through the second public call for the 2026 small business broadcast advertising support programme.
A total of 37 companies applied in the second round. It made the final selection of two after an overall evaluation of eligibility requirements, sales 규모, plans to use broadcast advertising and product competitiveness.
The selected companies will receive up to 45 million won, within a limit of 50 percent of TV ad production costs. They can also receive tailored consulting on planning, production and use of advertising.
The commission previously selected 23 small and medium-sized companies and 114 small merchants as support recipients in the first round of the programme, held from March to April. Including the second round, the total number of recipients this year is 139. The results can be checked on the website of the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO).
Commission Chair Kim Jong-cheol (김종철) said, "Broadcast advertising is one of the most effective means to promote companies and products and meet new customers." He said, "We will continue to provide support so more small and medium-sized companies can grow through broadcast advertising."
