U.S. biotech Axiom chooses Hong Kong over Nasdaq for first listing
U.S. biotech Axiom Biosciences has chosen Hong Kong, not a U.S. exchange, for its first stock market listing. The San Diego-based company is pursuing a Hong Kong listing in 2027 and is considering a secondary U.S. listing in 2029. Axiom expects Hong Kong to provide access to specialist biotech investors and expand cooperation with Asian clinical trial and commercialization partners amid shifting global biotech financing conditions.

Pump.fun accounts for more than a third of Solana Q1 revenue despite memecoin slowdown
Memecoin platform Pump.fun posted $124.7 million in first-quarter revenue, keeping its position as the top-grossing app in the Solana ecosystem. The figure was more than a third of Solana’s total app revenue of $342.2 million in the quarter. Pump.fun revenue rose 17 percent from the previous quarter even as memecoin activity slowed. Messari said Pump.fun’s core business remained solid and cited growth in launchpad, trading and tokenised real-world assets.

Upstage raises 180 billion won in first close of Series C round
Upstage said on April 15 it has completed the first close of a Series C funding round totaling 180 billion won. The fundraising valued the company at more than 1 trillion won. Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm Sages Partners joined as the lead investor, while Premier Partners, Shinhan Venture Investment, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, KB Securities and InterVest participated as follow-on investors. Axiom Asia, Hyundai Motor and Kia, and Woori Venture Partners joined as new investors.
