Neptune selected as KakaoPay mini game partner to supply H5 games

Neptune has signed a game content supply contract with KakaoPay and will participate as a partner for KakaoPay\'s \"Mini Game\" service, the company said on Thursday. Neptune will select suitable casual titles from its own IP and partner studios and convert them to HTML5 so they can be played in KakaoPay and KakaoTalk without a separate app. The supplied games will also apply Neptune\'s AdX mobile ad monetisation platform.

ETRI to map out next 50 years with AI and DX, focus on national strategic technologies

South Korea\'s Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) will unveil a new AI-centred research and development vision and a national AI innovation strategy as it marks its 50th anniversary. ETRI said it will hold ETRI Conference 2026 on Sept. 1 in Seoul to review 50 years of ICT achievements and present R&D directions for an era of AI transformation. It also plans to concentrate on five priority fields including AI and physical AI.

Bitcoin rebound loses steam, prediction market bets favor drop to $55,000

Bitcoin rebounded to $65,000 overnight but the rise did not last and it later retreated, a report said. Despite macro factors seen as supportive for risk assets, bitcoin failed to hold above the 50-day exponential moving average and a dead cross persisted. Other indicators leaned bearish, while a squeeze momentum signal suggested a large move could be near without indicating direction. On Myriad, odds favored a drop to $55,000 over a rise to $84,000.
