Nvidia denies rumours of buying major PC makers like Dell and HP

Nvidia denied a report that it had been in talks for more than a year to acquire a major PC maker such as Dell or HP. The rumour originated from a report by semiconductor-focused outlet SemiAccurate, which did not name a target but prompted market speculation about Lenovo, Dell, HP, Asus and Acer. Dell shares rose about 6.7 percent and HP shares gained more than 5.3 percent before giving back gains. Nvidia said it is not in acquisition discussions with any PC maker.
