SpaceX orbital data centre plan may need up to 42 launches a day

SpaceX\'s plan for an orbital data centre envisioned as future AI infrastructure is technically feasible, but major obstacles remain before commercialisation, an analysis said. The biggest challenge is building an unprecedented satellite constellation and launch system. The concept includes operating 1 million satellites producing 120 GW and using tens of millions to 100 million GPUs. Analysts cited heavy satellite mass, cooling limits in space, huge manufacturing and network costs, and communications latency as constraints.

Korbit adds Shinhan certificate for account linking

Korbit has added Shinhan Bank’s electronic-signature-based authentication service to its account-linking process. Users can choose between the new Shinhan Certificate option and the existing automated response system (ARS) verification. Korbit said it introduced the new method to improve convenience in the account-linking procedure. The company said the Shinhan Certificate allows users to proceed without waiting for an ARS connection.

Sony to end physical PlayStation game discs from 2028, halt optical disc production

Sony will stop producing physical optical discs for new PlayStation games from January 2028. It said new games will be sold only in digital form through the PlayStation Store and retail distribution channels, a move expected to affect users, offline retailers and game preservation groups. Sony cited changing consumer patterns, with digital downloads accounting for 78 percent of game purchases in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. Critics raised concerns about reduced consumer choice and ownership rights.
