AI coding splits into before and after GPT-5.1 and Opus 4.5, engineer says

Proposal to add physical pain to national wellbeing indicators despite high GDP

A proposal has been raised that economic indicators alone have limits in assessing a country’s prosperity and quality of life, and that physical pain should be measured regularly. Lucia Macchia of City St George’s, University of London suggested pain is deeply intertwined with economic and social conditions and should be included in national wellbeing indicators. Studies cited link rising pain rates to unemployment, loneliness and inequality across countries.
