Hana Bank runs partner event for minor customers with 'One Pick' account

Hana Bank is offering a one-time integrated pass for kids cafes to minors who newly open its dedicated 'One Pick' account, it said on Sunday. The campaign runs through the end of August via the event page in the Hana OneQ app. The account pays up to 2.0 percent annual interest on up to 5 million won of the daily final balance. Passes can be used at about 60 directly operated stores nationwide until end-October.

Apple revives health strategy in smartglasses after Vision Pro scrap

Apple is pushing plans to expand its in-development non-augmented reality smartglasses into a health and fitness platform, though such features are unlikely to be a focus in a first-generation product. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said Apple is reviewing ways to revive health platform ideas it had explored for Vision Pro. Those plans were shelved due to the headset's weight. Possible approaches include combining workout-assist features and built-in heart-rate sensors, and using cameras to analyse movement.

Ripple redeposited 700 million XRP into escrow ahead of a scheduled 1 billion XRP unlock this month, leaving about 300 million XRP to enter the market. U.Today said the company made two redeposits on Aug. 1 and the system later unlocked 1 billion XRP in three tranches. The move is seen as easing supply pressure into early August, a period that has often been weak for XRP.
