TTA extends ICT standards cooperation and secretariat designation validity by five years

The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on Sunday that the National Radio Research Agency under the Ministry of Science and ICT extended the validity of its designation as a cooperating organisation for ICT standards development and as an international standardisation secretariat for ISO, IEC and JTC 1 until April 5, 2031. TTA said it will continue managing 32 committees and 1,137 national standards and pursue AI-based application standardisation.

Market uneasy despite outlook for record results at Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix

A first-quarter earnings surprise is increasingly seen as a done deal for Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, supported by a sharp rise in DRAM and NAND average selling prices and a stronger dollar. Brokerages estimate operating profit of 41.3 trillion won for Samsung and 36.9 trillion won for SK Hynix. But rapidly rising memory prices could hurt set makers and demand, while compression technologies and geopolitical risks add uncertainty.
