Toss Securities has decided to renew the term of CEO Kim Gyu-bin (김규빈). Kim plans to lead Toss Securities for an additional two years, focusing on growth as well as strengthening ethics and compliance and internal controls.

According to the financial investment industry on Wednesday, Toss Securities held a board meeting and reappointed Kim as an internal director and CEO.

This is the first time a Toss Securities CEO has won a renewed term. Kim's new term runs for two years through October 2028, and he will continue to serve as board chair.

Earlier, Toss Securities' executive candidate recommendation committee recommended Kim as a CEO candidate on Aug. 31.

Born in 1989, Kim graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. After founding the mobile gift service "Nanojo" in 2012, he worked as a product owner responsible for product planning at eBay Korea and Viva Republica, the operator of Toss.

He later served as "head of product" at Toss Securities, and was appointed CEO in October 2024.

As Toss Securities enters Kim's second term, it plans to strengthen its ethics and compliance management and internal control system while growing the business.

On Oct. 15, it plans to hold an ethics and compliance management declaration ceremony with Kim and other executives and employees, and all staff are expected to sign an ethics and compliance pledge.

It also plans to push measures including running an internal control strengthening task force, expanding internal control training for employees, and stepping up checks before launching new services.

Kim said, "I take seriously the fact that no growth can be sustained without customer trust," adding, "We will prove it through the practice of ethics and compliance."
