SK On solves key challenge for silicon anode all-solid-state batteries

SK On said it and Yonsei University developed a new material binder, PPMA, aimed at commercialising silicon anode all-solid-state batteries. The electronic conductive polymer is designed to secure both conductivity and adhesion, addressing structural safety issues. SK On said it operated batteries with the binder under pressure conditions close to commercialisation and verified performance in high-energy-density pouch cells under conditions for electric vehicles, maintaining initial performance after hundreds of charge-discharge cycles.

KT expands 'talk with TV' with GenieTV AI agent

KT said on Jan. 15 that GenieTV is being used as a platform for everyday conversations with AI. Analysis of GenieTV AI agent keywords showed voice use shifting from simple commands such as turning on the TV or changing channels to free-form dialogue involving daily questions and emotional expressions. Family-related words appeared repeatedly across age groups. Conversation peaks were 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., with users averaging more than three utterances a day. KT plans to expand availability to about 5 million devices this year.

Paycoin opens payments at Seoul Land, expanding into leisure and culture

Danal's simple payment platform Paycoin said on Jan. 15 it has opened a payment service at theme park Seoul Land, expanding offline acceptance beyond convenience store-focused daily use into leisure and culture. Users can present a Paycoin in-app payment barcode at the ticket office to receive tickets. To mark the launch, Paycoin will run a full-day pass discount promotion through March 31. It also plans additional discount events at partner Seven Eleven from Jan. 18 to 30.
