Amazon Web Services, or AWS, said on Thursday it has launched agentic features in AWS Partner Central, its partner collaboration platform.
The AWS Partner Central agent, powered by Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, automates administrative tasks and streamlines overall opportunity management, including co-selling and funding.
The company said partners have consistently raised the need for ways to close deals with AWS faster and more efficiently. But data is scattered and expertise is isolated by department, requiring manual coordination to move deals forward and causing slowdowns at critical moments.
The AWS Partner Central agent not only accelerates existing processes but also presents a new way of working. The agent provides information teams need at the moment they need it, including sales plays, customer and pipeline insights, funding recommendations and next-step guidance. It can initiate workflows on behalf of partners and pre-fill available data so teams can focus on decision-making rather than data entry. Through a Model Context Protocol, or MCP, server, partners can directly connect existing tools and systems to the agent and use its functions within the tools they use daily.
The agent also provides guidance tailored to partner workflows, including customized next steps to advance a specific deal, recommendations on funding benefits and sales plays optimized for the opportunity.
The AWS Partner Central agent is currently available to partners that have migrated to the new AWS Partner Central environment in the AWS console. Partners can also access the agent directly from their CRM via the MCP server.
