Shinsung E&G wins family-friendly certification from gender equality ministry
Shinsung E&G said on Thursday it has been certified as a family-friendly company under a programme overseen by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. The certification is granted after a comprehensive review of how companies and public institutions operate family-friendly systems and their execution results. Shinsung E&G said it has sought to minimise career breaks related to childbirth and childcare, supported flexible working arrangements, and strengthened welfare, safety management and ESG activities.

Korea Investment & Securities' cumulative sales of profit-loss differentiated public funds top 1 trillion won
Korea Investment & Securities said on Jan. 23 that cumulative subscriptions for its profit-loss differentiated public funds totalled 1.08 trillion won at the end of 2025, surpassing 1 trillion won. Total assets under management, including the company’s contributions, stood at 1.38 trillion won. The firm said the funds use senior and junior tranches, with junior investors absorbing losses up to a certain level and a more stable allocation applied to senior investors even when profits are generated.

SOOP to hold '2025 Freestyle' Korea-China showdown on Jan. 31 with global live stream
SOOP said on Thursday it will livestream JoyCity’s global sports game e-sports tournament, the '2025 Freestyle Korea-China Showdown'. The event will be held at the FREAKUP Studio in Seoul on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Four teams from South Korea and four from China will compete in an event match on the first day and a main tournament on the second. Total prize money is about 35 million won.
