KT SAT to handle satellite control for K-RadCube launched with NASA's Artemis 2

KT SAT said on Feb. 2 it will participate in the K-RadCube CubeSat project, a South Korean satellite set to be launched together with NASA’s crewed Artemis 2 lunar mission. Artemis 2 will fly four astronauts around the moon and return to Earth. K-RadCube will collect space-radiation data from a highly elliptical Earth orbit and is expected to directly measure radiation while passing through the Van Allen belts.

Snowflake names 4 Koreans as 'Data Superheroes'

Snowflake Korea said on Sunday it selected four Koreans as Snowflake Data Superheroes, recognising contributions to expanding its AI data cloud ecosystem. The programme fosters data experts and developer community leaders through activities such as community education, conference participation and content production. This year, 125 people were selected from 25 countries, with the number increasing each year. Selection criteria include community participation, content creation, certified expertise and social media activity.

Harman Kardon launches SoundSticks 5 with ambient lighting

Samsung Electronics said on Sunday that its subsidiary Harman's Harman Kardon brand will launch the SoundSticks 5. The speaker system adds new tweeters to each satellite speaker to implement a 3-way audio design. It also introduces an ambient lighting system with five nature-themed presets, with lighting applied to both the satellites and the subwoofer. The product supports Bluetooth 5.4, Auracast and HDMI ARC TV connection. The suggested retail price is 499,000 won.
