South Korea\'s government and telecom operators reviewed their response to illegal spam and agreed to strengthen blocking ahead of the September Chuseok holiday. The Korea Communications Commission and the Ministry of Science and ICT held the sixth plenary meeting of a public-private consultative body in Seoul on Aug. 14 to discuss progress on a comprehensive anti-spam plan and future measures. Officials urged operators to expand reporting disclosures, share spoofed numbers and improve AI-based filtering.

Hana Financial Group is expanding mobile financial services for older residents in Incheon ahead of its planned September relocation of its headquarters to Cheongna International City. The group will fully launch the \"Hana Happy Dream Bus\" to improve financial access for seniors and vulnerable elderly people. Financial experts will visit senior towns, community senior centers, welfare centers and care facilities. The program includes education on retirement asset management, inheritance and gifts, fraud prevention and dementia-related financial management.
