Toss Bank will operate its customer service centre 24 hours a day during the Chuseok holiday period. It will provide the same services as usual, from general banking consultations to reporting financial fraud 피해.

Toss Bank said on Sept. 23 it will run its customer service centre around the clock during the Chuseok holiday. Customers can contact the centre by phone, email or chat to ask about banking and financial services, or to report 피해 from financial fraud.

Toss Bank also urged caution to prevent 피해 from financial scams such as voice phishing and smishing that target holidays. It said customers should avoid clicking unknown links or entering personal information in text messages that impersonate parcel tracking and card delivery notices, traffic fine notifications or event-related alerts.

It also said caution is needed because person-to-person trading of leftover foreign currency carries the risk of becoming involved in money laundering crimes.

If financial fraud is suspected or has occurred, customers should immediately report it to the Toss Bank customer service centre, the Korean National Police Agency task force for integrated response to telecommunications-based financial fraud, or investigative authorities.

Toss Bank said it detects suspicious transactions in real time through its proprietary, technology-based "Fraud Suspicion Siren" and also operates a "reassurance compensation programme" for customers who suffer 피해 from financial fraud.

A Toss Bank official said, "We will maintain a 24-hour consultation system so customers can use financial services without inconvenience during the holiday and respond quickly to fraud 피해."
