Hanwha Q CELLS to supply Korean-made modules for South Korea\'s largest 400 MW solar project
Hanwha Q CELLS said on May 21 it will supply Korean-made solar cells and modules to Korea South-East Power for what it called the largest solar power project ever at a single site in South Korea. Korea South-East Power plans to build a 400 MW solar plant on about 4.79 square km in Haenam, South Jeolla Province, aiming for completion in June 2028. About 640,000 modules using cells produced in South Korea will be installed.

Hanwha Solutions sells 200 billion won AMPC securitisation
Hanwha Solutions said on May 21 it recently sold about 200 billion won ($130 million) of the Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit (AMPC) it received last year to a third party. It plans to continue accelerating early cash conversion of AMPC to speed up improvements in its financial structure. The AMPC provides tax credits for solar products made in the United States, and the credits can be transferred to third parties.

LG Energy Solution signs 5 GWh ESS battery supply deal with Hanwha Qcells
LG Energy Solution said it has signed a 5 GWh energy storage system battery supply contract with Hanwha Qcells. The company will supply LFP batteries produced at its Holland, Michigan plant from 2028 to 2030 for ESS projects Hanwha Qcells is pursuing across the United States. The contract includes LG Energy Solution Vertech’s lifecycle services. The companies plan to link batteries and solar modules using U.S. production bases in Michigan and Georgia.
