LG Electronics launches STEM drawer freezer ice water purifier refrigerator

LG Electronics has launched a drawer-type model of its LG Dios AI Objet Collection STEM ice water purifier refrigerator that changes the structure of the bottom freezer. The new model replaces the side-opening bottom freezer with a two-tier drawer design. It includes a convertible middle drawer with 14 storage modes via the LG ThinQ app, an auto ice maker, and expands freshness compartments from 1 to 2. It also adds AI-based freshness care, saving mode and voice recognition features.

Apple iPhone Duo teardown raises suspicions about hinge

A teardown of Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, suggests early display failures may be tied to the hinge’s internal structure. Repair specialist iFixit said damage reports could be linked to where a cable passage meets the central hinge support. It built a 3D hinge model using CT scans, teardown video and Apple patents and outlined several possible causes, while saying it could not confirm a direct cause from the analysis alone.
