Foldable phones are emerging as an alternative to small tablets used on the move, but they still have limits as full replacements for work devices, an assessment said. As book-style foldables offer larger screens while folding to smartphone size, they can deliver tablet-like use with easier mobile connectivity under an existing smartphone plan. The assessment cited constraints including multitasking space, accessory use, battery burden, high prices, durability issues and incomplete software optimization for larger displays.

Qualcomm plans to expand AI adoption by nurturing creators and fan communities, saying high-performance chips alone will not popularise agentic AI. Don McGuire (돈 맥과이어), Qualcomm’s chief marketing officer, said interest is the first step and belief is the start of behavioural change. He outlined four conditions to turn interest into trust and described partner types spanning communities, creators, ecosystems and brands. Qualcomm cited its 23 million-strong Snapdragon Insider community and an access program for emerging creators.
