Isu Chemical introduces AI operation support in petrochemical processes

Isu Chemical is moving to adopt artificial intelligence transformation at its production sites after being selected for a 2026 programme backed by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs. The project, led by Kolon Benit with the Korea Productivity Center participating, will build an AI-based operation support system for continuous chemical processes. The company plans to link plant data, apply time-series AI models, add predictive maintenance and improve energy efficiency and carbon reduction efforts.

Woori Financial to support eco-friendly boiler replacements for 100 vulnerable households in Dongjak-gu

Woori Financial Group\'s Woori Financial Future Foundation will provide 30 million won to help replace old boilers for 100 vulnerable households in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. Dongjak-gu Office and the Seoul Social Welfare Council will take part in the project. The initiative aims to ease heating cost burdens and improve living conditions by installing energy-efficient, eco-friendly boilers. The foundation said it held a donation ceremony on Oct. 23.

Jensen Huang says no memory glut in 2029, rebuts fears over memory stocks

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (젠슨 황) said he does not expect a significant chance of a memory oversupply in 2029. He said that while memory stocks have fallen sharply, demand for memory in artificial intelligence and data centres will keep increasing. He also said high-bandwidth memory will continue to be used for years, and that Nvidia introduced LPDDR used in phones to data centres and will use it in large volumes.
