MegazoneCloud wins Snowflake Partner of the Year award, plans to expand use cases

MegazoneCloud said on Thursday it has won global AI data cloud company Snowflake\'s Partner of the Year award. It is the second consecutive year it has received the award. The company said it was recognised for supporting Snowflake-based data platform builds and data and AI transformation, and for contributing to the expansion of the partner ecosystem. MegazoneCloud said it plans to broaden deployments into pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, including regulatory and quality work.

KAIST to build AI, robot-based autonomous lab with Thermo Fisher Scientific

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) plans to build an AI- and robot-driven autonomous laboratory with Thermo Fisher Scientific. The partners will jointly create the SHARE Hub, which connects human intuition, AI reasoning, robotic experiments and experimental data. Under the system, researchers pose scientific questions, AI designs experiments, robots run them and AI analyses results to guide subsequent tests. They also plan joint development and a challenge programme.

OpenAI to lease 10-GW Ohio data centre for 20 years; Nvidia to guarantee up to $105 billion in rent

OpenAI will lease for 20 years a 10-gigawatt AI data centre campus being built in Ohio, with Nvidia investing $1.5 billion and taking on a rent guarantee of up to $105 billion. SoftBank Group unit SB Energy will develop, own and operate the site. The project includes new power generation and grid investment, with phased construction starting in 2028. The deal also includes a loss-compensation clause tied to OpenAI’s lease.
