KT will work with Asan Medical Center to build an \"AI hospital\" that applies AI in clinical settings. The two signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul to develop AI medical services for clinical use. They plan to foster the hospital as a hub for applying and verifying medical AI and to identify AI transformation models, including a next-generation hospital information system. The partners will expand validated AI services and jointly develop tools to improve patient experience and staff efficiency.

Bae Gyeong-hun (배경훈), deputy prime minister and science and ICT minister, is ending a period of holding multiple AI policy roles as the presidential office and the National AI Strategy Committee fill key posts.
