Two South Korean experts win roles in APEC ICT steering groups to expand cooperation

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Friday that two South Korean experts were elected to key posts in the operating groups under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation telecommunications and information working group. Jang Ju-dong was elected secretary of the Conformance and Interoperability Steering Group, and Park Jung-eun was elected deputy secretary of the Digital Economy Steering Group. Their terms run for two years from 2027 to 2028.

Naver steps up highway accident information linkages with Expressway Corp and others

Naver said on Wednesday it will build a cooperation system with Korea Expressway Corp, Kakao Mobility, T Map Mobility and others to share information on highway accidents and unexpected incidents. Under the agreement, navigation operators will send data suspected to indicate accidents to the expressway operator, which will verify incidents through CCTV and return confirmed information. Naver plans to link the information to Naver Map to alert drivers.

Baemin joins Jeonnam-Gwangju co-growth council to support small merchants

Baemin has joined a council aimed at boosting the regional economy in the Jeonnam-Gwangju area. Its operator Woowa Brothers said it would participate in the Jeonnam-Gwangju Regional Co-Growth Council alongside the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership and other public bodies and companies. The participating organisations will jointly pursue programmes for co-growth in key industries and projects to support small and medium-sized firms and small merchants.
