Coinbase rises to No. 3 on XRP rich list after address reclassification
Coinbase\'s XRP balance jumped 4,870.7 percent on the rich list, but it did not receive 5.5 billion new tokens, the article said. The change resulted from a reclassification after XRP ledger explorer XRPScan updated its wallet identification system and labeled 146 previously unidentified Coinbase wallets. Ripple mints 10 million more RLUSD as institutional demand grows
Ripple minted an additional 10 million RLUSD stablecoins on the XRP Ledger, blockchain media outlet U.Today reported on Aug. 17. The issuance was processed from the RLUSD issuer account and finalised on the ledger the same day, with a fee of 0.000405 XRP, according to XRPScan. RLUSD circulation stands at 1.711 billion tokens, CoinGecko data showed, with about $58 million in 24-hour volume.
