DeepSeek launches new V4 model preview versions
Chinese AI developer DeepSeek has released preview versions of its new V4 AI model, the Wall Street Journal reported. The company announced the launch on its official WeChat account. DeepSeek said V4-Pro has significantly improved agent coding capabilities and offers user experience ahead of Anthropic\'s Claude Sonnet 4.5. It said output quality nears Claude Opus 4.6 in non-thought mode but trails its thought mode. The model supports Huawei chips and features Sparse Attention technology. DeepSeek also launched the cheaper, faster V4-Flash.

Tencent launches global QClaw OpenClaw-based AI agent with WhatsApp, Telegram integration
Tencent has launched a global version of QClaw, an OpenClaw-based AI agent, The Information reported on Monday. QClaw drew strong interest in China last month, featuring one-click installation and integration with WeChat. The global version can connect to messaging apps including WhatsApp and Telegram, and offers tools to create agents for tasks such as travel planning, ticket purchases, tax filings, health and fitness routines, and sending reminders.

Musk\'s X Money seen launching in April; CLARITY bill a variable
X, formerly Twitter, is preparing a payment service called X Money that could disrupt the U.S. payments market, analysts said. Mizuho Research analysts said the service could put direct pressure on PayPal and Venmo and is expected to launch in April. They warned that plans to integrate cryptocurrency payments and offer returns on user balances could face regulatory obstacles, including New York’s CRYPTO bill and discussions around the federal CLARITY bill.
